This is an all-day trip where we will start out early in the morning and see the following places:

-Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge (Multiple locations to photograph a variety of birds)

-The Dead Trees (These trees sit on a dry lake bed whereby new construction in and around them may wipe these out, so this may be our last chance to photograph them if they have not already)

-The Mud Pots (These dry mud mounds were created by the Geothermal vents they sit on thus creating amazing photo ops to capture bubbling mud spouting to the surface)

-Salvation Mountain(Salvation Mountain is literally a man-made mountain covered by half million gallons of latex paint.  Quite an amazing site to see and photograph)

-Bombay Beach(Last stop to photograph the sunset at the Salton Sea)

If you are interested, please sign up and preferably carpool using the attached participation sheet.  The less cars we have, the less chance, though not guaranteed, we have of startling the large quantities of birds in the Wildlife refuge areas.
